The Grimes sisters
Barbara and Patricia Grimes were sisters who lived in Chicago, Illinois. They disappeared in 1956 after leaving to watch a movie. They were ages 15 and 13 when they went missing.

The search and rescue team was the biggest in the history of the state of Chicago. Their bodies were found in 1957. They were naked and one of the sisters had been molested before her death. No one was ever declared a suspect.
Robinson Family
The Robison family murders, also referred to as the Good Hart murders, were the mass murders of Richard Robinson, his wife Shirley Robinson, and their four children, Ritchie, Gary, Randy, and Susan. Their killing took place in the late afternoon or early evening of Tuesday, June 25, 1968.

The upper-middle-class Robinson family was from the metropolitan Detroit area of Lathrup Village, Michigan and were shot and killed while vacationing in their Lake Michigan cottage just north of Good Hart, Michigan. This case remained unsolved after a 15-month investigation by the Michigan State Police and the Emmet County Sheriff's Office.
Walker Family
The two parents and two children of the Walker family were murdered on December 19, 1959 in Osprey, Florida. Two suspects were named: Perry Smith and Richard "Dick" Hickock. However, DNA evidence could never support their convictions and the case has never been solved.
Lin Family
In 2009 Australian news agent Min Lin, his wife Yun Lin, his sister-in-law Irene Lin, and their two sons, Henry and Terry were bludgeoned to death with a blunt instrument. The weapon was never found.

On December 19, 2012, Robert Xie was committed for trial in the killings. Xie's trial had been scheduled to begin in September of 2013, as DNA tests on some evidence were in the process of being completed. However, on July 22, 2013, the Supreme Court delayed the trial until 2014.
Sun Family
The murders of Maoye Sun and his wife Mei Xie, along with their two young sons inside their Cypress home in March 2014 sent a shockwave through the Chinese community in Texas. Police received a number of tips but there was never enough information given to lead to the name of a suspect. The case remains unsolved.
Bennett Family
On January 15, 1984 Bruce Bennett lost the battle with a killer who pummeled and sexually assaulted his 26-year-old wife, Debra, and 7-year-old daughter, Melissa. The attack also shattered the face of their 3-year-old daughter, Vanessa. Though Vanessa's jaw was crushed, sending jagged bones into her windpipe, she survived after her grandmother, Constance Bennett, checked on the family later that morning when they didn't show up to work at their furniture store.

An investigation in which more than 500 people were questioned did not uncover any leads to solve the case.
Andrew and Abby Borden
These names are not as well known as the name of the suspect of their murders - daughter Lizzie Borden. On August 4, 1892 they were both found brutally murdered in their home. Lizzie claimed that she came home and found both of her parents dead.

Suspicion fell on the Lizzie after it was discovered she had purchased poison. She was eventually acquitted of all charges and was treated as an outcast for the rest of her life. She died in 1927.
Ade Family
The Ade family, well-liked throughout their community, was murdered in Nashville in 1897. The family was gathered together in the parlor when the murderer entered the room and struck Mr. Ade with a heavy object. The others attempted to escape through the window and were either met by another assailant outside who drove them back in, or struck down by the first man with a heavy object before they could escape.

The murders happened about 8 o'clock and by the time they were discovered, the house had been burning for about an hour and a half. The grounds were searched but due to a rainstorm that night, officials were not able to find any tracks. Rumors abounded as to who the murderer or murders may have been, but no one was ever convicted of the crime.
De Ligonnes Family
The de Ligonnes family was the embodiment of the modern-day bourgeois French household in the eyes of their community. With a large house in the chic and expensive part of Nantes, France, the four children attended local private schools where upper-crust families from the coastal city sent their families.

A report was filed about the family disappearing and when the family was found, the mother, the three sons, and the daughter were dead, individually rolled-up in sleeping bags and buried underneath the patio in the backyard. Autopsy reports would later reveal that they had been drugged before they were shot, except for the mother, who was probably shot first. Police named the father, Xavier as the lead suspect, but he also disappeared shortly after the bodies were found. Some believe he committed suicide. His whereabouts and association with the crime is still unknown.
Setagaya Family
Mikio Miyazawa, 44, his 41-year-old wife Yasuko, 8-year-old daughter Niina, and 6-year-old son Rei, were found dead on the morning of December 31, 2000. Miyazawa’s son had been strangled, and the other three had been stabbed to death. Fingerprints and other evidence in the home indicated the killer used the computer and ate ice cream after the attack, spending up to 11 hours in the house before leaving the next morning.

Approximately 190,000 officers have been involved in the case to date, and police have received more than 16,000 pieces of information from the public. However, the killer remains at large. The reward was raised from the initial 3 million yen to 10 million yen for information which leads to the killer, or killers’, arrest.
